| New procedures to enhance the Syrian tourist sector The Syrian Tourism Minister has outlined at the Congress of the Arab Tourism Writers, the new procedures that will be taken to reactivate the tourist sector in Syria. According to the minister, the new facilities will increase the flow of incoming visitors, to 33% . The stats of last year revealed that the Nr. of arrivals to Syria reached around 3 millions: 15% for working purposes, 40% from the nearby countries (these usually stay 1 day only), 20% from the Arab World, 15% from the Islamic countries and 10% from Europe, Asia and the Americas. |
