Meet & assist at airport – transfer to hotel / Dinner and

Amman – Salt – Jordan Valley
– Bethany - Amman
Amman & Salt: Amman, ancient Rabbath Ammon, the fotified
capital of the Ammonites’ Kingdom. Its massive
fortifications still standing, where David has arranged the
death of Uriah the Hittite in order to marry its widow
Bathsheba. Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law who took care of the
wife and children of Moses during the exodus should be
buried somewhere in Wadi Shu’aib, near Salt. In Salt as well
you may find Job’s tomb, who have endured severe tests with
a lot of patience and earned benedictions.
Bethany: (The real place where Jesus Christ was
baptized).
The visit : The day start with a visit of Amman
(Citadel and archaeological museum) then continuation to the
Jordan Valley via Salt to visit Jethro’s and Job’s tombs –
In the afternoon, visit of Bethany then back to Amman /
Dinner and overnight. |

Day 3 |
Amman –
Gadara –
Jerash –
Amman
During the New Testament period, the North of Jordan was
the region of the « Decapolis » (ten cities) where Jesus
preached and performed miracles.
Gadara : The frontier zone city that overhangs the
Tiberias Lake was the site of Jesus Christ’s miracle of
Gadarene Swine
Jerash: Ancient « Antiochus on the golden river », one
of the marvelous cities of the greco-roman world.
The Landscapes: the fertile plains of Bashan in Northern
Jordan belonged to the Amorite king « Og » was known for its
enormous livestock. The dense forests of Gilead place of
Elijah’s birth…were both continuously mentioned in the life
of David, Jacob, Salomon, Elijah …
The visit: AM: Direct transfer to Gadara – Visit of the
site with an overhang view on Tiberias Lake. – Continuation
to Jerash, full visit of site then back to
Amman / Dinner
and overnight |

Amman –
Madaba –
Mount Nebo
– Machaerus - Mujib – Petra
Madaba: The Christian city in Jordan. It is the home of
more than 150 churches dated between the IVth and the VIIth
century. Particularly, the St. Georges’ church, VIth century
AD, that shelters "The Map of Palestine". (The earliest map
in the world showing the Holy land).
Mount Nebo : The memorial of Moses.. The place, where
Moses got to the top of the mountain and saw the Promise
Land. The site was discovered by the Franciscans in 1933.
Machaerus: One of the most inspiring sites in the Holy Land. A
fortified palace stands on the top of the Herodian Mountain
with a panoramic view on the Dead Sea and the surrounding
mountains. It is here that John the Baptist had his had cut
after the fatal dance of Salome.
Mujib: The biblical Arnon, on the Kings’ Road, was the
ancient frontiers between Amon and Moab Kingdoms: An
extraordinary crack that stretches to the Dead Sea.
The Landscape: The Kings’ Road, The permanent
communication road which was crossed by Moses and his people
after an agreement with the Edomite Kingdom.
The visit:
Departure from Amman – Visit of Mount Nebo, Madaba and
Machaerus, then continuation by the same road to Petra via
Dhiban, the Kings’ Road and Karak / Dinner and overnight |

Day 5 |
Petra – Wadi Moussa
Petra & Wadi Moussa: The local legend pretends that the
spring at the entrance of Wadi Moussa (Moses valley) is one
where Moses has hit the rock and the water spurt out. On the
other hand, it is the place where Aaron’s memorial (Brother
of Moses) stands since 1309.
Petra was also the ancient Sela where several scenes from
the Edomites period took place.

Petra – Beidha – Wadi Rum – Aqaba
The Wadi Rum : A desert surrounded by granite and sand
stone cracked rocks. A lunar landscape that hides thousands
of testimonies from ancient civilizations. (From the
Thamudeans to Laurence of Arabia).
The visit:
Departure from Petra- Visit of the Neolithic site of
Beidha and Little Petra (Siq El-Bared) – continuance to
Petra via Ras El-Naqab with an impressive view on the Negev
– Optional visit in 4x4 then continuation to Aqaba / Dinner
and overnight |

Day 7 |
Aqaba – Araba Valley – Dead Sea – Amman
The Dead Sea & the Araba Valley: The Dead Sea, also
mentioned in the Bible as « the Arabah Sea », « the Salted
Sea » and "The Sea of the East", was the place where
hundreds of dramatic stories took place according to the Old
Testament, including the destruction of Sodom & Gomorrah.
The visit:
Am: free for détente, swimming and shopping – PM :
transfer to the Dead Sea via the Araba valley with a stop at
Zara springs and Lot’s Shrine – A short pass by the Dead Sea
then continuation to Amman / Dinner & overnight |

Transfer to airport for Departure |
